
Detached Street Work The
aim of Detached Outreach workers is to promote the services that
Docklands Outreach provide and to promote other agencies that provide
programmes for anyone between the ages of 11 and 25 years old.
What we do Detached Outreach workers provide confidential advice, information and support on any or all of the following:
- Homelessness
- Education, employment and training
- Sexual health
- Drugs and alcohol use/misuse, including information on drugs and the law
- Crime diversion including anti-social behaviour and it’s consequences
- Counselling, dealing with issues such as stress and depression

Reaching Out
Detached Outreach work is all about reaching out, making contact and
working with you (young people) wherever you may be. this could be in
the streets, parks, youth clubs, the area you live in or the area you hang out and even in the school you attend.

The outreach workers are flexible, approachable and independent. We are
not connected to the Police or the Social Services so any thing you may
want to speak to us about will be dealt in confidence according to our
confidentiality policy.

From 2004 to 2005 we engaged with 3600 young people within the London Borough of Tower hamlets.
